Introduction

M&M is one brand operating under the chocolate segment of Mars Inc. I was surprised to learn Mars Inc. is a private, family owned company. The Board of Directors is comprised of Mars family members who rely on a global management team. Among the team is Grant Reid, president of the Chocolate segment. Paul S. Michaels is president of all six company segments. Being a private company, explains why no financial statements are posted within the company website. Therefore I can’t state what the size or market share is of M&M within the chocolate segment of operations. Their main competitor however is Hershey chocolate.
